A 15-30 minute walk in the park will get you to a few of Amsterdam’s most important museums ( Rijksmuseum, van Gogh-museum and the Stedelijk museum ). These museums, as well as the Concert Hall, are also easily reached by public transport. The centre of Amsterdam (take streetcar line nr 1 from the Overtoom) also knows a few places showing you the rich history of the town, such as the Museum van Loon, Museum Willet-Holthuysen and the Amsterdams-Historisch Museum.

Shopping in Amsterdam

The Vondelpark gives access to several up-market shopping streets such as the P.C. Hoofstraat and the van Baerlestraat. The Overtoom itself offers a wide choice of shops and restaurants. The centre of Amsterdam is easily reached from the bed and breakfast by taking streetcar line nr1 which stops just on the corner of the street.
